Welcome to the Somerset Garden Supplies website, hopefully you will find it simple to use and that you will find something that is of interest to you. Somerset Garden Supplies is a locally based company that offers good old fashioned customer service from start to finish. I can supply and install any of the sheds, summerhouses, greenhouses, paving and timber products from the comprehensive ranges available and if you still do not find exactly what you are after from the buildings range then I can also get a bespoke building manufactured to your specific requirements. There is also a display garden which has some of the products on display so you can see the quality of the products available.

Somerset Garden Supplies originated in 2014. Having been involved with landscaping products for over 20 years I decided to venture out on my own selling the products and working with the suppliers I have been working with for the last 12 years. I only recommend products that are good quality but also value for money.

Somerset Garden Supplies can offer expert practical advice, useful ideas and I can assure you that my customer service, before, during and after sales is just as important as the quality of the products.

All sheds & summerhouses supplied by Somerset Garden Supplies come with solid timber tongue & grooved floors and roofs to ensure they last longer. Sheds and summerhouses come in many different styles and sizes and from our comprehensive range there is surely something to suit everyone’s budget.

If you still can’t quite find what you are looking for then we can get a ‘bespoke’ building made to suit your needs. All buildings can also be erected by Somerset Garden Supplies if you wish.

All greenhouses supplied by Somerset Garden Supplies are aluminium framed and come with a 10 year guarantee. They can be supplied with horticultural glass, polycarbonate glazing or the very popular toughened safety glass. From our range there are various heights, widths and lengths to choose from and we can also supply many greenhouse accessories like automatic roof vent openers, staging, rainwater collection kits and louvre windows.

Paving

Somerset Garden Supplies can supply you with Natural stone or concrete paving slabs. Natural stone paving is becoming more and more popular and is available in a variety of shades.

Concrete paving slabs offer more variety in size and shape and the circle or sun style kits are very popular for a garden feature. All paving can also be laid by Somerset Garden Supplies if you wish. Please enquire.

Somerset Garden Supplies recommend that you erect your building on a solid level base. The best way to achieve this is by either laying paving slabs or having a concrete ‘pad’ laid.
If you go for the slab option then the slabs need to be laid correctly on an initial compacted sub base and then a mixed, sand & cement bed. DO NOT lay the slabs with a slight slope for water to run away as this will cause problems when your building is erected, it MUST be level.

Somerset Garden Supplies can prepare the base and also erect the building for you if you wish. Please contact us for information.

bearers

Somerset Garden Supplies recommend that you have bearers underneath your garden building. Bearers are 3” square pressure treated timbers that go between the floor of the building and your solid level base.

Bearers will help prevent the floor of your building from rotting because they provide better air circulation underneath the floor which will either prevent dampness or dry the floor out quicker if any dampness does occur.
Bearers are not expensive and can also be supplied by Somerset Garden Supplies. Please contact us with any queries.
